1. When you place an order for freezer beef or pork, Michelle will be in contact with you to discuss available processing dates.
2. Michelle will also help you customize your cutting instructions including steak thickness, roast size and exact cuts of meat per package.
3. All animals get processed exclusively at Dewig Meats in Haubstadt, IN; a federally inspected facility.
3. When your meat is ready, we will let you know the total price (minus the deposit) based on the animals hanging weight and arrange a pick-up time here at the farm.
4. Our beef will hang and dry age for 14 days prior to getting cut, so expect 3 weeks from time of processing until it's in your freezer. Pork takes about 4 weeks due to curing and smoking of bacons and hams.
5. Product comes double wrapped and is blast frozen.
6. Price includes cost of animal and processing fee.

As a general guideline, one cubic foot of freezer space allows you to store between 35-40 pounds of packaged meat.
Great size for half of hog plus some extra storage.
We like to recommend this size for a quarter of beef or a whole hog so you have some extra room for other freezer items as necessary.
Half of beef will fit comfortably in 12cu.ft. freezer along with extra storage space.
We recommend a 21 cubic foot freezer to accommodate a whole beef, while keeping things well organized.
The upfront cost of purchasing freezer beef and freezer pork can be intimidating. But simply put, you are filling your freezer for the year! You will pay less per pound when you buy from The Harvest Wagon than at the grocery store because your Ribeye Steaks and Chuck Roast are the same price per pound as your Ground Hamburger or Bacon will be the same price per pound as your Sausage.
